your area of responsibility
Your role at waterdrop®:
As an Head of Group Accounting (m/f/d), you will be based at our vibrant headquarters in Vienna, leading all Group Accounting operations across HQ and international entities:
Full responsibility for Group Accounting Operations (HQ & international sales entities)
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
Strategically develop the accounting and operating model, including processes, systems, and team structure
Lead month-, quarter-, and year-end closing processes and coordinate with external service providers and auditors
Work closely with Controlling and Treasury to support financial planning and management
Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policie
Lead, coach, and develop the Group Accounting team
Drive continuous improvement of processes and systems, including the implementation of new technologies
your profile
Your strengths and qualifications:
Extensive experience (8+ years) in Accounting, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership or Head of Accounting role, preferably in an international Group structure
Proven success in managing Group Accounting operations, including multi-entity consolidations and financial reporting across different jurisdictions
Strong background in IFRS, GAAP, and tax regulations, with experience in external audits and compliance management
Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire teams while establishing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Track record of optimizing operating models, implementing robust processes, and leveraging technology to increase efficiency
Skilled in orchestrating complex closing processes (month-end, quarter-end, year-end) and managing relationships with 3rd party service providers
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a strong focus on business partnering and strategic impact
Proficiency in modern ERP/accounting systems (preferably NetSuite) and advanced Excel/financial modeling skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to effectively liaise with senior management, auditors, and cross-functional teams
Experience working in fast-paced, international environments, ideally within a growth-oriented or consumer goods company

The minimum salary for this position is EUR 90.000 gross per year on a full-time basis. Because we value exceptional talent, we are willing to pay above the stated amount and the salary will be adjusted accordingly to your qualifications.
