  • Design and build serverless applications in the cloud.

  • Design, code, test, and deploy the back end of our customer-facing application using NodeJS, GitHub, Postgres, and AWS Services.

  • Code REST interfaces to support various internal/external requests.

  • Ability to take extreme ownership over your work.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, Step Functions and Cloudwatch.

  • Testing experience and familiarity with testing tools at all levels, unit, integration and end to end testing.

  • Practical and real world experience working with databases.

  • Experiences with SQL and NoSQL Databases (PostgreSQL and MongoDB is preferred).

  • Experiences with configuration and maintenance of Github CI/CD Workflows.

  • Deep understanding of versioning control tools - Git.

  • Rock solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts.

your area of responsibility

  • Contribute towards the backend development, building cloud-native services using NodeJS and Typescript on AWS Serverless technologies.

  • Use patterns and leverage modern frameworks to build, maintain, and implement our solutions.

  • You'll brainstorm with Product Managers, Designers and Frontend Engineers to conceptualize and build new features for user base.

  • You'll actively own features or systems and define their long-term health, while also improving the health of surrounding systems.

  • Design and implement data storage solutions.

  • Getting feedback from users and clients, and building solutions for them.

  • You'll improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

  • Evaluate options and the performance tradeoffs / benefits.

  • Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
