your area of responsibility

  • Serve as the Engineer for the contract, providing comprehensive contract management services.

  • Act as the focal point for the Construction Supervision Consultant (CSC) team, closely collaborating with the Project Manager and team members to oversee site management.

  • Ensure that project delivery requirements and expectations are consistently met throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Oversee the invoicing process, certifying contractors’ payment certificates in a timely manner.

  • Manage project schedules, ensuring that all activities are completed on time and within budget.

  • Administer work contracts in accordance with the FIDIC Red Book, ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations.

  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination among stakeholders, including government agencies and local communities.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety, addressing any issues promptly.

  • Provide training and mentorship to local staff to enhance their skills in project management and contract administration.

  • Perform any additional responsibilities associated with this position as necessary to support project goals.

your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience managing or supervising the design and construction of water supply and civil infrastructure projects.

  • Must be amenable to onsite assignment for at least 9 months each year during the contract period.

  • Experience in small island developing states is essential.

  • Previous experience working with or for a utility organization in a Pacific context is highly desirable.

  • Detail-oriented and analytical, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Must be willing to relocate and work in Nauru.
