your area of responsibility
Provide independent supervision of all construction activities to ensure compliance with project requirements, timelines, and safety standards.
Monitor and document work progress to ensure adherence to architectural and engineering plans.
Inspect construction materials, methods, and workmanship to confirm compliance with contractual specifications and applicable codes.
Identify and address quality issues by collaborating closely with contractors to implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate and detailed daily site logs and inspection reports for transparency and record-keeping.
Prepare and submit periodic progress reports to relevant stakeholders, including any issues, delays, or changes.
Facilitate clear communication between project stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and the client, to ensure smooth project execution.
Ensure that construction practices adhere to all local regulations and environmental standards, promoting sustainable practices.
Oversee health and safety protocols on-site to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
Identify potential construction issues early in the process and recommend practical solutions to keep the project on track.
Address any discrepancies between design documents and actual site conditions promptly, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
your profile
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
Minimum of 5–8 years of experience as a Site Inspector or in a similar role on construction projects.
Demonstrated experience in hospital or healthcare construction is a must.
Strong understanding of architectural, structural, and engineering construction methods.
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
Familiarity with local building regulations and construction practices within Kosrae State and FSM.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting and stakeholder interaction.
Proficiency in project documentation and reporting to ensure timely updates and compliance.
