your area of responsibility

  • Plan, evaluate, and coordinate new projects, ensuring design requirements are met.

  • Develop design solutions for ground-up construction and infrastructure upgrades, preferably in healthcare.

  • Use advanced software to create drawings and virtual models for presentations.

  • Prepare and submit engineering plans, calculations, and drawings for regulatory approval.

  • Perform economic analyses and evaluate building systems to meet project requirements.

  • Develop and monitor project budgets and schedules, overseeing projects through construction.

  • Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) packages emphasizing safety and constructability.

  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Perform other related responsibilities as needed.

your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Minimum of 5 years of specialized experience in electrical engineering.

  • Healthcare facility design experience preferred but not required.

  • Knowledge of healthcare industry standards and regulatory requirements (TJC, OSHA, NFPA).

  • Proficient in design and modeling software.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with experience in client briefings.

  • Expertise in preparing and submitting engineering plans for approval.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets and schedules.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Must lawfully reside in the United States and be eligible for employment (Planate does not sponsor visas or work permits).
