your area of responsibility
You will be based in our Budapest office as part of our Client Capabilities Network (CCN). Colleagues in our global Client Capabilities Networkdeliver distinctive client impact through assets and expertise and are driven by a culture of innovation.
You will work closely with local team colleagues as well as a wide range of analysts from the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Your focus will be on providing research and coverage on a wide range of topics for Hungary. In time, you have the opportunity to develop your expertise in various areas such as macro-economics, public sector, retail, telecom or digital transformation. McKinsey leaders will provide sponsorship and will mentor you to build your capabilities.
Over 3,500 McKinsey client capabilities professionals across the globe work alongside our consultants to deliver Change that Matters to our clients. They collaborate with consultant teams, both remotely and at client sites, in an agile and targeted way. Further, they are core to our firm’s R&D, development of new knowledge, building of proprietary capabilities as assets and data sets. Our portfolio includes state-of-the-art research, data- backed rapid diagnostics, benchmarking and workflow support. The professionals have deep expertise and apply a broad range of methodologies to address specialized on-demand analyses.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will leverage a solid understanding of business trends, issues and concepts to efficiently respond to complex research questions by delivering synthesized, actionable facts and insights to our consulting teams and clients.
In this role, you will work alongside senior knowledge professionals on larger client projects and internal knowledge initiatives. By collecting and analyzing data and information from databases, primary and/or secondary research tools, you will assemble a fact base, counsel consultants and clients on the scope of the business, relevant economic trends as well as provide insights and analysis to solve client problems.
Your daily activities will include identifying key issues for problems at hand, determining the most appropriate solution while effectively balancing quality, availability, timeliness and cost factors. You will perform a variety of analyses such as benchmarking, trend identification, industry profiling, market sizing, growth projections and opportunity scanning to add value to problem-solving discussions. You’ll provide synthesis, insight and client implications within tight deadlines via end products in PowerPoint charts, memos, models and framework.
