  • Ability to work with partners to develop co-promotion or cross-promotion strategies and campaigns.

  • Ability to analyze research or performance data and apply that analysis to optimize merchandising strategy.

  • Excellent communication skills and collaborative working approach.

your area of responsibility

As a Product Marketing Manager in Merchandising for Google Play, you will impact users every day by owning merchandising efforts end-to-end for the apps sector. You will be the expert on the content, user needs, and the local ecosystem. You will work with merchandisers from other domains on country strategy, Business Development Managers on understanding strategic partner needs, and Product and Engineering teams on supporting new platform capabilities. You will coordinate and launch effective online campaigns and promotions. You will set the strategy for and execute against merchandising and retail promotions for the apps sector while continually analyzing performance metrics and optimizing the user experience.


In this role, you will work cross-functionally with Product, Design, Marketing, Engineering, and other teams to develop an innovative user experience. You will work both independently and collaboratively to develop new content features and scalable processes.

Responsibilities:


  • Set the country, surface, or program merchandising strategy for the apps domain, and execute against the global plan.

  • Direct the country, surface, or program merchandising program and create apps campaigns and content.

  • Analyze internal data, market research, and industry trends to select content to promote and to understand how users are engaging with the recommended apps.

  • Develop user insights for the apps sector, research new and trendings apps, and test apps for quality and usefulness.
