  • Work experience in database engineering, business intelligence or business analytics

  • Experience in writing complex, highly-optimised SQL queries across large sets

  • Experience in programming languages like Java, Python, C#, Node etc.

  • Demonstrated strength in modelling, development, and warehousing

  • Experience in usage of cloud infrastructure services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud ...)

  • Advanced knowledge of data modelling, statistical computing and data visualisation in tools/languages such as Python, Tableau and R

  • Experience with analytical tools, programs and CDPs such as Rudderstack, dbt, Airbyte, Fivetrain, Segment and Snowplow

  • Experience with data warehouse environments such as BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake and PostgreSQL

  • Knowledge of common BI reporting tools such as Tableau, Metabase, Google Data Studio, PowerBI, Qlik, SAP Business Object...

your area of responsibility

  • Build complex ELT pipelines with multiple disconnected sources and noisy data, build out new API integrations and support continuing increases in data volume and complexity

  • Identify and build warehouse-optimized denormalized datasets

  • Implement advanced transformations in SQL and dbt

  • Define key performance indicators, identify the correct data sources and prepare data models available for BI reporting tools (PowerBI, Metabase) to gain product and business insights such as customer acquisition and behaviour

  • Define, document and refine web tracking concepts (for hybrid web application) for our product teams in close collaboration with app developers and data analysts

  • Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Marketing and R&D teams to assist with data-related technical issues, support their data infrastructure needs and get relevant data to them quicker while maintaining the data reliability and quality

  • Implements processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it
