your area of responsibility

What You'll Do


As a Senior Associate/Consultant within BCG's Energy Practice Area, you will be a core member of our practice working alongside some of the world's top minds in the industry shaping the future of the Oil & Gas industry and driving the Energy Transition and Decarbonization of the sector.

  • You will collaborate on challenging projects with team members from many backgrounds, advising clients on a variety of topics, such as:

  • Developing a strategy to achieve carbon neutrality for the upstream business area at an international Oil and Gas company

  • Defining the diversification strategy into low carbon businesses for an Oil Field Service company

  • Supporting M&A deals and post merger acquisitions and integrations

  • Transforming the operating model of a drilling company

  • Leading the performance turnaround of a service contractor in South America

  • Redesigning the organization at an exploration and production subsidiary of an international Oil and Gas player

  • Conducting market studies on low carbon energies to enable an Oil and Gas company as part of its Energy Transition plan

  • Designing the new offshore operating model of a leading IOC in the North Sea

your profile

What You'll Bring


  • 3 to 8 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, either for an Upstream Operator (IOC, NOC, PE owned) or for a Service Company

  • Experience in challenging roles and assets, preferably in technical disciplines (Drilling, Operations, Project development, Geosciences…)

  • Passion for the Oil & Gas industry and the decarbonization

  • Have experience actively managing multiple client and stakeholder relationships and networking within the client organization to understand their needs and help influence the client agenda

  • Have the interpersonal skills to partner with executive management teams as they implement a new vision and passion for enabling leaders to drive change within organizations set you apart

  • Be a collaborative team player with positive attitude, high ethical standards and experienced in international work

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English, in addition to a strong presence and leadership skills
